Welcome to my "Our New Home" page! Meet some of my clients who have recently purchased a new home. The Jordans Magnolia Park, Burbank This is Delilah, Katie, Olivia, Me and Jerry in front of the Jordans' new Burbank home.
Dexter Burbank This is Dexter. His parents, Anika and Todd, purchased a home in West Burbank in May 2009. Dexter was adopted shortly thereafter!
Stephanie, Shane and kids Burbank Stephanie and Shane purchased a home in West Burbank in March, 2009. We later learned that the house had formerly been a refuge for pot-bellied pigs! The only other occupants of the house now are Stephanie and Shane's two children, plus two cats and two dogs. That's Stephanie, above, hand-staining her wood floors.
Mark and Sue Burbank Mark and Sue purchased a landmark Burbank Tudor in a great hillside neighborhood. It features five bedrooms and a guest unit! They will occupy this with Mark's teenage daughter, Lily, plus four cats and two dogs. Mark works in the entertainment industry and Sue is an editor at the L.A. Times.
The Wise Family Amherst, Burbank Jeff and Barbara Wise recently purchased this brand new home in Burbank to accomodate their growing family -- that's Ian and twins Phoebe and Holden, above. They also wished to take advantage of Burbank's excellent public school system, and Ian is now a student at Jefferson Elementary. Barbara is an advertising creative director when she's not a full-time mother and Jeff is an agent for television writers.
Geoff and Laura Valley Village Geoff and I go way back and I've been privileged to work with him on several other real estate transactions. Laura and Geoff's wish list included both indoor and outdoor entertaining areas and they found it in this VV home. Laura is working on a doctorate in counseling and Geoff runs a post-production company.
Kim Toluca Lake This is Kim's first home purchase. We looked long and hard and finally found this great condo for Kim in a fabulous area of Toluca Lake. It's walking distance from stores, restaurants, Starbucks, etc. When she's not on a golf course, Kim is a recruiting director for Dreamworks Animation.
Brian, Margaret & Ivan Sherman Oaks The Taylors had outgrown their home in Burbank and wished to be closer to Ivan's school in Encino. We found this terrific 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath pool home in Sherman Oaks in January, 2006. The home has a modern, zen-like aesthetic and features room to grow in addition to a family room, remodeled kitchen, barbecue island and spa. Brian works in the film industry and Margaret is a city planner.
Tracy and Ross Burbank Tracy and Ross were married in October, 2004. They purchased their first home in January 2005 after looking for about six months. They got a great "Benmar" in the Burbank hills with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, c/a, fireplace and more. Tracy is an attorney with a large downtown L.A. law firm. Ross is a recent USC graduate and works in film marketing at Warner Bros. In 2007, they welcomed baby Lorelei.
Jeff
Burbank Jeff bought this house on Niagara in May, 2005. He'd been looking for a home for over two years! This house is absolutely lovely (so much so that I threatened to buy it if he didn't). Jeff is Director of Field Marketing at Disney and can now walk to work.
Teri and Scott
Sunland Scott and Teri had been searching for a home for four years when we found this condo in Sunland. They had been my across-the-street neighbors and Scott is the son of our office's beloved weekend receptionist, Joanne. The complex is called "Sunland Village" and is just on the other side of Shadow Hills. Each unit features its own attached 2-car garage. Best of all, their cat can now go outside on their patio (their previous apartment didn't allow pets, so they hid her away for two years!). Teri works at Foto-Kem and Scott works for Technicolor.
Bob, Toluca Lake Bob choose to move from Huntington Beach, CA with his boxer, Franco. The house he bought is very close to the late Bob Hope's house and has a lovely floor plan with a redone kitchen and huge yard. Bob is an insurance broker and has a much shorter commute to downtown now.
Carlos and Elaine Chiquita, Toluca Lake Although they owned other property, Carlos and Elaine were attracted to the Toluca Lake community and wanted to find a home large enough to share with Carlos' mother and her pets. They bought this fabulous re-do with craftsman decor and a separate, large guest house during the summer. It's walking distance from Universal City and the newer Red Line subway. Carlos is an accountant for a downtown law firm and Elaine works in the home health care industry.
Steve and Dina Verdugo, Burbank Steve and Dina own Subliminal Productions, a commercial production company. They were looking for more room in order to keep working from home and they also wanted to stay in Burbank so their son, Whitney, could continue to attend the Burbank schools. They found this modernist home -- one of the rare ones in Burbank -- and fell in love with its ambiance. It also has a separate office for their company and a lovely swimming pool.
